Freshwater Farm Plans

Freshwater Farm Plans are a regulatory document required by landowners with:

  • 20 ha or more in arable or pastoral use.
  • 5 ha or more in horticultural use.
  • 20 ha or more in combined use.

 

LandVision Freshwater Farm Plans are designed to integrate with the full Integrated Farm Environment Plan (see Services Page).  These plans include:

  • Paddock scale land, water and farm resource mapping.
  • Current farm management details.
  • Identification of freshwater resources and attributes associated with these including mahinga kai.
  • Risk assessments.
  • Strategies to mitigate risks to freshwater resources.
  • National and Regional regulations including implications for stock exclusion, winter grazing etc.
  • Overview of catchment status including Te Mana o te Wai.
  • Detailed maps to support discussions.
